How to Make Google Auto-Delete Your Location and Web Activity Data

Google knows and remembers everything you do on your smartphone or web browser. It’s scary how much Google knows about you. To prevent the search giant from using your information, you can automatically delete your history and other information it collects from your device and web browser.

Google services that you use on your Android phone, eg. B. Chrome, Google Photos, Gmail, YouTube and other applications monitor your activity and store a lot of information about you. This information includes information about your location, web browsing history and activity, YouTube ad history, voice search history, payment methods and passwords.

You can review web and app activity, location history, search and YouTube history in the “Data and Personalization” section of Google Activity Management. However, you can also use Google to enable or disable location tracking and other activity related to sound and audio. Use “My Google Activity” to track your current Google Chrome activity.

Enabling auto delete:

Follow the below-given steps in order to delete your Google Web & App Activity and stop the search giant from tracking you.

Go to Google Chrome Settings

Open your Google Chrome browser, click on the 3 dots menu in the top right corner and navigate through the drop-down menu to find “Settings”. Click “Settings” to continue.

Click Manage your Google Account

On the Settings tab, click Manage Google Accounts. Another window will open in front of you.
Just under the Network & Apps tab, click Manage Activity, then click Select for Auto Delete.
The “Choose how long to keep your network and application activity” window appears with several options, such as B. “Save until I delete manually”, “Save 18 months” and “Save 3 months”. Select the options you want and you can proceed by clicking “Next” and confirmed

You can also automatically delete your location data and history with this new feature, which Google announced earlier this year. To prevent Google from supporting your activity, you can turn off tracking in the web application activity area. The user determines how long Google wants to keep their activity data.

User data stored by Google recommends searches and advertisements based on your usage and history. So it’s up to you whether you want to keep it for better recommendations or delete it and protect your privacy.
